About

Jordan Czamanski makes music that comes from beneath. It's from deep down not just in sound but in sensibility.

For more than two decades, he’s been a steady force in the global underground music scene, known for richly textured work as solo artist Jordan GCZ, one half of the duo Juju & Jordash, and a collaborator with boundary-pushing artists like Terrence Dixon and David Moufang. His inimitable sound blends ambient atmosphere, analog synthesis and jazz-informed sensibilities, creating work that is as layered as it is listenable. The  music rewards close attention without ever demanding it.

Jordan is committed to bringing that same depth to the world of film, television and visual media. The evolution is a natural one; qualities that have shaped his music -- restraint, curiosity and tonal precision -- lend themselves well to storytelling on screen.

Having lived across continents and worked between cultures, Jordan has always moved along the edges of convention. His perspective is shaped by years of collaboration with multi-genre artists and live performances on stages ranging from nightclubs and festivals to museum galleries and jazz clubs, alongside a continuing rhythm of making records that reflect his ever-expanding musical communication. The through line has been a commitment to making sound that’s subtle, expressive and finely tuned to its context.

His approach is shaped by attention, instinct and an ear for what the moment actually calls for -- not just what’s expected. Based in Toronto and working internationally.
